Captain French is a UNSC naval officer who commands the UNSC Cascadia.[1]
Biography[edit]
He commanded the Paris-class heavy frigate UNSC Cascadia in 2556. That very year the outer colony Cleyell was glassed by remnant forces of the Covenant. Captain French moved Cascadia into orbit of Cleyell soon after to deploy Army and Marine search-and-rescue teams to recover stranded colonists on the surface. On that mission he encountered Sergeant Holly Tanaka of the 412th Engineer Command. During his brief time with Tanaka, he was impressed by the selflessness and courage she exhibited. French later recommended Tanaka to Jun-A266 as a suitable candidate for the SPARTAN-IV program.[1]
