The Fire and Repentance Codicies are an ancient and oral ritual cited by Covenant Ship Masters. The Codicies were a series of ritual greetings and responses. It is known that Ship Master Qunu of the destroyer Far Sight Lost had an unmatched knowledge of the Codicies. Qunu was chosen to initiate contact with the Onyx Sentinels by Voro Nar 'Mantakree.
