Deployable bridge

A deployable bridge is a portable bridge that can be transported into place and deployed with minimal effort. They are used in combat zones to allow passage over gaps by friendly forces, and are often carried by transport craft, such as a D77-TC Pelican.[1]
During the Battle of Viery in August 2552, a Pelican transported a deployable bridge to allow SPARTAN-B312 and Catherine-B320 to cross a chasm, replacing a broken bridge that had previously bridged the gap.[1]
Trivia
- The Deployable Bridge is not carried in the usual manner behind the troop bay of the Pelican. Instead it appear to be carried directly underneath the Pelican. This may be an over site by Bungie or the Pelican may have been a specialized variant with magnetic holders on the bottom for carrying larger loads.
