This station detected Dr. Halsey's message which was piggy-backed on a carrier singnal sent by Cortana through Slipspace.
This station was undetected by the [[Covenant]] as long as November, 3, [[2552]], during [[The Second Battle of Earth]]. It was thus, still functional. It monitored [[slipspace]] activity.
 
It picked up a message sent from [[Cortana]] using [[Forerunner]] technology, and another signal piggybacked on it by [[Dr. Catherine Halsey]].

Democritus was the name for a Remote Scanning Outpost in the Solar System. Democritus was in orbrit around Pluto, the ninth planetary body in the system.

This station was undetected by the Covenant as long as November, 3, 2552, during The Second Battle of Earth. It was thus, still functional. It monitored slipspace activity.

It picked up a message sent from Cortana using Forerunner technology, and another signal piggybacked on it by Dr. Catherine Halsey.
