This article is about a Forerunner time period. For achievement in Halo 3: ODST, see Dark Times.

The dark time is the translated name for a period after the reintroduction phase of the Conservation Measure. It was a time in which some of the species that were reintroduced into their homeworlds by the Forerunners became extinct.[1] 000 Tragic Solitude, the monitor of Installation 00, chose his name during the dark times when he felt alone.[2]
