D Company was a company of Orbital Drop Shock Troopers under the command of Major Antonio Silva assigned to the UNSC Pillar of Autumn in 2552.

History[edit]

D Company was one of four companies present within Major Silva's ODST battalion when the Pillar of Autumn arrived at Installation 04 on September 19, 2552. They took part in the defense of the cruiser from Covenant boarding parties before landing on the ringworld via SOEIV. They organised under Major Silva and, along with A Company, were assigned to stay at the initial camp set up by the ODST force while Lieutenant McKay's B Company proceeded to get in position for the attack, and C Company headed toward a Pelican landing zone for aerial insertion.[1]

A and D Companies would be attacked by a force of roughly one hundred Ghosts in this time, but would eventually prevail and go on to capture Alpha Base while Covenant forces were distracted by B Company.[1] By the time of John-117's destruction of the ringworld, A Company was destroyed.
