In early 2553, forces led by the San'Shyuum Prelate Tem'Bhetek ambushed the Swords of Sanghelios assault carrier Shadow of Intent over the Sangheili colony of Duraan. Using the system's unstable star to an advantage, 'Bhetek's Jiralhanae troops, operating from the light cruiser Spear of Light, boarded Shadow of Intent. The boarders were ultimately defeated by the carrier's crew, while 'Bhetek was taken prisoner.[1]
