Associated intelligence

Are "associated intelligence" and artificial intelligence truly interchangeable terms? To me it seems more likely that an associated intelligence is a type of AI, specifically, a more powerful, actually intelligent construct as opposed to the kind the Covenant use. It's doubtful they'd lift their ban on associated intelligences between 2524 and 2552 given their dogmatic ways; it seems more likely they always used "dumb" AIs such as this one, while "associated intelligences", actually sentient AIs such as humanity's smart AIs and the Forerunners' Mendicant Bias, were banned. --Jugus (Talk | Contribs) 01:45, 16 November 2011 (EST)

Title

Couldn't we just call this "Truth and Reconciliation's AI" and do the same with Ascendant Justice's AI? The current stylization is just unnecessary clutter, and besides, we already use the "[Subject]'s [something]" format quite a lot. --Jugus (Talk | Contribs) 01:45, 16 November 2011 (EST)

Possible Rampancy

I know very little about AI terminology but, this AI seems to be in an early stage of rampancy to me. It seems to want the Covenant to be wiped out by the Flood, so it can "be free". Ascendant Justice's AI was also programmed to "think" in terms of the Covenant's religious dogma, so this may be standard behavior for Covenant AIs. On the other hand, said AI was highly unstable, as it was a copy of a copy of a copy that had been reverse-engineered from a human AI. It is indeed possible that both of these constructs, being inferior, reverse-engineered copies, were rampant. --Courage never dies. 17:33, 16 November 2011 (EST)

I wouldn't call it rampancy; the cases of rampancy we have encountered involve smart AIs being active for over seven years (Per Cortana's statements) or one that has been fragmented by a malfunction (Melissa, as opposed to Cortana under Halsey's AI-fragmentation research) - it is attainable in one way or another. I'd say that this AI was naturally corrupt due to bad designing on the part of engineers incapable of making engineering breakthroughs on their own (and thus learning what they can from captured artefacts).-- Forerunner 18:32, 16 November 2011 (EST)

Connection to 049 Abject Testament

I believe that Fred Tatasciore voiced the Covenant AI and 049 Abject Testament in the Anniversary Terminals. If that's true, is it possible that those two characters are linked? While this Covenant AI is awfully vague, I get the sense that some deeper part of him recognizes 343 Guilty Spark as more than just "Oracle." --CaptainRaspberry 15:49, 19 November 2011 (EST)
