The Underslung shotgun is a weapon used by the UNSC.[1]
Not much is known about it, but it is a weapon attachment mentioned by a UNSC serviceman. There is no underslung shotgun attachement for the MA5C. It would most likely be used in close-range combat, such as house clearance or trench fighting.
