"An honor to serve, Didact."
— Sharp's last word to the Ur-Didact.

Sharp-by-Striking, referred to simply as Sharp, was a Warrior-Servant.[1]

Biography

Sharp-by-Striking was a veteran of the human-Forerunner war, commanding a tactical squadron under the Ur-Didact. Sometime later he opposed the Ur-Didact and helped convince the Old Council that the Shield Worlds would not work. At some point he joined the Builder rate, becoming part of Builder security, during this time he served in several campaigns against the Flood. During the Battle of the Capital, with the Warden's help, he aided Faber in escaping the capital. Aboard a fast frigate, he was ordered to escape, before they did, Faber's personal security attacked and killed all but Sharp. Sharp-by-Striking was exiled by Master Builder Faber along with the Ur-Didact to Uthera Midgeerrd. He informed the Ur-Didact that they were on a Burn, a punishment where they had no armor or ancillas to help them and were deliberately sent to a Flood infected system. Sharp regretted joining the Builders and, wishing to re-join the Warrior-Servants, offered to help the Ur-Didact again. After a brief conversation with the ship's damaged ancilla, Sharp was sent to release the other two Forerunners from stasis to see what they knew. When he returned he reported that one of the Forerunners was a high-ranking Builder and the other was a Catalog, that may not make it out of stasis.
