Template:Multiplayer Map Infobox Purple Reign is the nickname for a map that is announced in the Bungie Weekly Update: 10/26/2007 [1] . It will likely be available for download on Xbox Live Marketplace in the map pack available spring 2008. It has been stated that it will be symmetrical or semi-symmetrical with the middle of the map being higher than the rest.[1] According to the Bungie Weekly Update: 1/4/2008 [2] the map will be an entirely new map. The map is supposed to be full of mid to long range weapons, and from what the update states it appears there will be multiple floors.

The nickname is a reference to Prince's song and movie, Purple Rain.

Some believe that this level may also be a remake of the map Midship from Halo 2. Even though it states above it,"will be an entirely new map."
