The Robotic Rover is an automaton in use by the UNSC.

Background

A robotic rover, sometimes also referred to as a "Robotic Dolly" or "Service Drone", possesses minimum Artificial Intelligence capabilities. They can respond to basic verbal commands such as "Stop" or "Left" and "Right," but they are not otherwise interactive. They perform many various tasks [1].

Variations

Robotic Rover

Essentially mobile cargo containers, rovers can carry up to several tons of ordinance, weapons, communications equipment, metal alloys, etc.

Robotic Dolly

Dollies are designed especially for medical bays. Robotic dollies posses arms that can remove items from cold storage, and they carry medical supplies or even patients.

Service Drone

More advanced than standard rovers. Service Drones' can perform complex engineering tasks, similar to the Huragok within the Covenant, though non-sentient. They do not require verbal controls and can be activated and operated remotely via a ship's main computer. Frigates, such as the UNSC Gettysburg or the UNSC In Amber Clad, have seven of these.
