The Covenant guard tower is a mobile ten meter tower equipped with a single plasma cannon[1] used to defend the perimeter of an encampment. Unlike the similar Covenant watchtower, the guard tower apparently does not make use of a gravity lift, instead spiraling upward from a treaded base.[2]
