Early life

Spartan-A297 was born on Harvest in the year 2510, just ten years prior to Humanity's first encounter with The Covenant in 2525. Not much else is known about Spartan-A297's life prior to The Covenant's attack on Harvest in 2525. During the Battle for Harvest, both of Spartan-A297's parents would be killed by an Elite Zealot known as N'tas 'Havrocom. During the encounter, the Sangheili's shield would overload giving Spartan-A297 enough time to plunge a combat knife into the elite's jaw before being kicked into a wall and losing consciousness. Spartan-A297 was later found lying unconscious by a squad of local militia, whereupon he was evacuated off of the planet and sent to a medical facility on Reach to receive treatment for multiple fractured ribs.

Recruitment

While on Reach, Spartan-A297 was approached by a recruiter for the spartan-III Program, like everyone else who had been offered a spot in the program Spartan-A297 was given the opportunity to avenge his family, he accepted the offer without hezitation. Spartan-A297 quickly rose through the ranks of the recruits and was pulled out of the main pool of spartan-III's just prior to Operation: PROMETHEUS. Spartan A-297, like Spartan-B312 was employed as a lone wolf operator and was a test pilot for the highly classified Sabre Program just prior to The Battle of Reach.
