Ven III is a planet located on the outskirts of the Joint Occupation Zone and the third planet in the Ven system.[1]
History
- This section needs expansion. You can help Halopedia by expanding it.
Ven III is a small, almost uninhabited planet characterized by a maze-like environment with numerous caves and tunnels. During the Human-Covenant War, the planet was used on and off by the Covenant as a staging area for large offensives. At the conclusion of the war, Ven III was left unclaimed.[1]
In May 2558, the UNSC Infinity was tasked to investigate a Covenant bioweapon research laboratory on Ven III. During the mission, Spartan Naiya Ray discovered a massive Kig-Yar pirate stronghold deep below the surface of the planet. In the post-war years, the planet had seemingly become a hot spot for Kig-Yar smugglers, black market arm dealers, and slavers. [1]
