The Ascetics are a group present within the Elite culture[1]

The Ascetics were a pre Covenant Sangheili group, devoted to keeping the loyalty of the Sangheili people to the state. They were dissolved after the Elites and the Prophets formed the Covenant but after The Great Schism they were reformed.

Background

They wanted Usze ‘Taham to be their emissary to the Covenant Navy by the time of the Great Schism.

Beyond this, nothing else is known about the group.
