Thanks. I did think the MA5B's stock was a bit wide. I'm going to have a go at making some scale diagrams of the back end of the MA5B and its magazine to see if it could comfortably fit in the shoulder.

I'd imagine that the MA5B magazine is about the same size as the M14 or FAL/L1A1 magazine, both of which carry a full load of 20 rounds. The only differences would be the added bits to make sure its snug and fit within the rifle (for EVA) and the extra FCS components. As for the capacity on the MA5B magazine, given the width of the bullpup stock and firing mechanism, it wouldn't be a stretch to say that it's a "triple" stacked magazine.

Said military ranks can be extrapolated from the ranks we've already been given in the canon and from statements by Nylund and co.. With the possible exception of "battlegroup", I don't believe we've ever been any reason to believe these military units exist in the 'verse.
