The placement of Halo CEA in appearance lists as a subset of Halo: Combat Evolved caught my eye recently. I don't think this makes much sense, given the fact that despite being mostly identical to the original game it's still a separate product released ten years after the original one and not a feature like terminals, alternate game modes, or Legends episodes which are justifiably listed under their parent titles. Thus Anniversary, and its terminals, should be moved to their own, chronology-based bullet point. --Jugus (Talk | Contribs) 10:43, 19 March 2014 (EDT) | The placement of Halo CEA in appearance lists as a subset of Halo: Combat Evolved caught my eye recently. :I agree with Jugus on this one. Also, I think the Bestiarum and Halsey's journal should be removed altogether, given they are in-universe documents and don't count as appearances. I usually will remove those from appearance lists when I see them.-- 11:04, 19 March 2014 (EDT) | :I agree with Jugus on this one. ::I kind of, sort of, want to challenge the omission of the aforesaid in-universe documents from the list, at least when it comes to Halsey's journal. While it's true it's an in-universe item, it also exists in the real world as a physical resource with a body of appearances distinct from the game with which it's shipped. Despite the in-universe/real world technicality, I wonder if it would be more informative and appropriate in regard to the purpose and function of the appearance list to include such documents after all. When you think about it, the journal is no different from the The Impossible Life and the Possible Death of Preston J. Cole or, for that matter, all three novels of The Forerunner Saga; all are ultimately a real-world works written as if they were fictional documents. --Jugus (Talk | Contribs) 12:18, 19 March 2014 (EDT) | ::I kind of, sort of, want to challenge the omission of the aforesaid in-universe documents from the list, at least when it comes to Halsey's journal. :::That's a good point when thinking of it that way. Feel free to add those items back to the list Sith.-- 12:48, 19 March 2014 (EDT) | :::That's a good point when thinking of it that way.
