I used to have an entire list of friends, but they all disappeared when we moved here from what is now Halo Nation >.>...I'm not going to bother re-finding them, as most of them are probably inactive now anyway. So am I, for that matter, but if you want to contact me, you can find me here.

About Me

I am Sona 'Demal. I have sworn on the blood of my fathers, on the blood of my sons, to uphold Halopedia. At least, that was until I retired.

I joined way back in August 2007, when a friend introduced me to Halopedia. I liked it immediately. I began to do my work on the site however I can. I resigned in September 2009 to focus full-time on a massive community project I started on Halo Fanon with Maslab.

I like reading the Halo series, by Eric Nylund, William C. Dietz, Joseph Staten, and Tobias S. Buckell. They wrote it very well, and you can understand what goes on better than the game. I hope you get around to reading it, if you haven't already, and you'll find you like it too.

If you would like to be friends with me, let me know. However, I'll warn you now not to use me to gain medals or milestones, or any other reason for your own personal gain. If you send me a request, tell me why you want to be friends. If you we do not communicate in any sort of way in a long period of time, I will remove you as a friend unless you inform me you will be busy.

If you are my true friend and ally, add this to your page.

Which will give you this: Sona 'Demal Friend

If you have a friend userbox, let me know, and I'll add it to my profile page.

Halo music

My favourite Halo soundtrack of all time out of the four is the Halo 3 OST Disks 1 and 2. Here are my top 3 tracks.

1. Never Forget
2. One Final Effort
3. This is the Hour

My part in Halopedia

I am currently a Commander in the Covenant of Halopedia and UNSC of Halopedia, and my wiki rank is Lieutenant Commander. I am not planning to go any higher than that due to my inactivity, but I think I've served the site well in my time here. I have made over 2,800 edits, and will watch for any inaccurate info I have personal knowledge of. I have added discovered glitches, loopholes, overlooked bio, and additional links.

Articles I started

  • Character interludes
  • Hillside Memorial
  • Hadley
  • Markov
  • Mare Insularum
  • 120mm Ventral Guns
  • Missile Warthog
  • Infantry Square
  • Zap-Jellie
  • Unnamed Navy Captain

In my opinion, Halo is the best game in the world (who doesn't think that?)! I think the storyline is great, and the ideas are fantastic. Halo Wars is alright, because what's better than Halo in a strategy game (if only they did made it for PC!)? It's also great that we find out more about the early stages of the Human-Covenant war as well.

I wish the Spectre wasn't taken out of Halo 3, since it can power-slide and seat passengers on Multiplayer, and the Prowler can't.

I really hope they re-do Halo: Combat Evolved with better graphics, since (in my opinion) Halo is better than Halo 2 and Halo 3 in actual gameplay. Halo Anniversary Edition was great, because I've dreamed of playing the one and only Halo: Combat Evolved with good graphics for years. Nothing beats the original, and I will never change my mind about that.

I have run out of Xbox Live. I have over 4000 G, and my tag is Xij29y6. You'll remember it for it being the weirdest username ever. Except I sold my console to provide money for my band, so I no longer have an account. Once I get a job, I'll probably get a new console, and make a gamertag that's easier to remember.

If you ever want to contact me, see me on the #halopedia IRC channel. I don't usually talk on that channel, but just ping me by entering "sona" in your message. I'm always willing to converse.

The Forerunners

A legendary story to be sure! At first I had thought Halo 3 was a rushed and messed up video game with a storyline that made no sense whatsoever. But a visit to the Halo blog site known as Ascendant Justice, my eyes had been opened to the unique story Bungie had unveiled to us with such subtlety, and vociferous had the initiative to tell it to us, and answer so many questions that lay in the dark to me for a long time. You can read about it here, and I strongly suggest you do! It is so complex and extraordinary, it marked Halo as the best storyline in my eyes, and dwarfed all the novels in comparison. I won't reveal the story to you, but if you have the curiousity to read it, I feel that you'll enjoy it just as much as I did.

Other Games I Like

Maybe this isn't the best place to mention things like that! But I'm sure no one only plays Halo either. Okay, my other favourite games on XBOX 360 are:

5. Gears of War series

4. Call of Duty series

3. Grand Theft Auto series

2. Guitar Hero/Rockband series

1. Halo series at the top!

Here are a few quotes that really got to me.

"Die? Didn't you know? ...Spartans never die."
— Kurt-051's last words
Now John knew the difference one man could make in this war. He understood Dr Halsey's desire to save every person she could. He had to do what he could to save every person. Today. Now. Today they had won. They had stopped the Covenant. But what about tomorrow? The Covenant didn't give up once they set their sights on a target. They wanted Earth—they'd come for it. Destroying their fleet would only delay that inevitable fact. They had time, though. Maybe enough time to prepare for whatever the Covenant could throw at them. John would take today's victory. And he'd be there when the fighting started again—he'd be there to win.
—Halo: First Strike, page 335-336, personally my favourite conclusion to any Halo novel

"I think we lost him."
— Marine
"Not yet."
— Master Chief, Halo 3 trailer
"I am your shield. I am your sword."
— Cortana, The Storm, Halo 3
"This is the way the world ends"
— Cortana, The Storm, Halo 3

I'm dedicating an entire section to the Forerunners' quotes here, because there are so many I like.

"Were we such noble Guardians when we drew our line and abandoned billions to the parasite?"
— Librarian
"We’ve been irresistible and immovable for too long. Maybe it’s our turn to give."
— Librarian
"I will begin our Great Journey without you, carrying this bitter record. Those who come after will know what we bought with this false transcendence — what you bought, and the price you paid."
— Didact
"I know what you’re here for. What position do I take? Will I follow one betrayal with another? You’re going to say I’m making a habit of turning on my masters. But the one that destroyed me long ago, in the upper atmosphere of a world far distant from here, was an implement far cruder than I. My weakness was capacity — unintentional though it was! — to choose the Flood. A mistake my makers would not soon forgive. But I want something far different from you, Reclaimer — atonement. And so here at the end of my life, I do once again betray a former master. The path ahead is fraught with peril. But I will do all I can to keep it stable — keep you safe. I’m not so foolish to think this will absolve me of my sins. One life hardly balances billions. But I would have my masters know that I have changed...and you shall be my example."
