Class-II?[edit]

I wonder if hes/shes a class two SPARTAN-II? any one else agree-NotaAnon

The evidence is abundant that there was no Class II. Red Fifteen and the rest of Beta Red were all original Spartan-II's, deployed by Fred to protect the generators. It's just Bungie tying up some loose ends, but doing so masterfully - I almost wish they'd been the stars of Reach instead of Noble. -- Specops306 Autocrat Qur'a 'Morhek 17:43, 9 January 2011 (EST)
I'd like to see that evidence. I've done calculations where I remove a deceased SPARTAN-II from the number of SPARTAN-IIs active in November 2525, minus team Black. There's just not enough S-IIs to be part of Red team's Reach deployment. The main piece of evidence supporting the "class IIs" is ilovebees saying that there was an attempt at a SPARTAN class somewhere around 2536-2545, and that Yasmine Zaman and Jannisary James were candidates (James escaping capture thanks to her father killing the would-be abductor). The main evidence for class II to have not happened (whether at all or just not successfully is up to you) is Kurt being told that there wouldn't be any more SPARTAN-IIs... several years prior to 2536. To be honest, neither of these are conclusive. My idea is that it was originally intended to be a SPARTAN-II class, but later extensions to Halo canon made it seem more like the SPARTAN-III Beta company. Regardless, there is still a huge discrepancy over the numbers in Red team during that mission and the numbers of officially active SPARTAN-IIs (Black and Jorge are in secret, thus unofficial).-- Forerunner 17:56, 9 January 2011 (EST)

Halsey's outright says in the Tribute Room, "It's a shame my program ran for only a single generation." True, the Tribute Room is non-canon, but Halsey's completely in character, and why would Bungie have her say that if they wanted a Class II to exist in the canon? Red-FIFTEEN in an eleven man team?[edit]

I believe that this problem can be solved using two facts: - Four S-II's died in the high orbit jump - Beta-red had 11 members, including Red-FIFTEEN, the four dead spartans are from Beta Red. SomethingDifferent 00:46, 16 July 2011 (EDT)
