I would like to state that there is a difference in range for Halo: Combat Evolved and Halo 2. In Halo: Combat Evolved, it is 60 meters, despite the little number next to the motion radar saying "15m". This can be verified in the second mission by looking for a waypoint on a pelican and inching to around 60 meters (probably a difference because of the Pelican's height). Halo 2, it seems to be 15 meters (estimated) as it either probably should have been, or for more precision when evading enemies.
