It can fire three shots immediately after another before overheating (unlike the standard Beam Rifle which can fire only two), and the time between these shots is slightly less. Additionally, the increased battery capacity allows for 15 shots rather than 10. Each individual shot is slightly less powerful, but like the standard Beam Rifle it still takes only two shots (or one headshot) to kill a full shield, full health Spartan.

The weapon has 100 battery units (15 shots) which can be operated at  180 rounds per minute.
