Io Station[1] was a United Nations Space Command military platform, believed to be in orbit around Io, the second largest moon of Jupiter.
It contacted SPARTAN-117 on the Forerunner Dreadnaught before the dreadnaught landed on Earth during the Second Battle of Earth.
