I think the spartan laser is a fake, in this pic chief's gloves look the same as the gloves in halo 2 and his hands are in the position of him holding a rocket launcher

Bungie has stated in the HALO 3 issue of EGM that the multiplayer mode which this screenshot was taken from "has not recieved its final coating of detail".168.169.123.228 15:07, 22 January 2007 (UTC)
