Less than a year into his life, he was confronted with the attack on Zone 67 and Camp Currahee by [[Onyx Sentinel]]s. In order to get Endless Summer's attention, Halsey sent him a [[Wikipedia:Kōan|Zen koan]], aware that such a philosophical dialog would be irresistible to a smart AI.{{Ref/Reuse|goo178}} Halsey managed to convince him to use the planet's [[Slipspace COM launcher]] to alert [[Earth]] so they could send forces to save them.
