UNSC Nereid was a United Nations Space Command mixed cargo hauler.[1] In October of 2558 it was knocked out of slipstream space in the wake of the Created uprising, leaving it powerless and stranded.
Trivia
- The Nereid was likely named in reference to the sea-nymph companions of Poseidon in Greek mythology or to the third-largest moon of Neptune.
- This ship was originally created by a Halo fan named "calamitySi" under the name "UNSC Frigate Triton", who gave permission to the creators of Halo: Tales from Slipspace to use the design in the book.[2]
