The UNSC Jazz Band is a instrument ensemble of the United Nations Space Command,[1] likely consisting of around twenty members forming a rhythm section and a horn section.
In 2550, the ensemble closed out a three-hour United Nations Space Command promotion ceremony in downtown Quezon on Reach. It was at this ceremony that Miranda Keyes was promoted from lieutenant to lieutenant commander, awarded the Silver Star, and given command of her own Stalwart-class light frigate, UNSC In Amber Clad.[1]
