The UNSC Herodotus was a UNSC destroyer that saw action at the Fall of Reach. During the battle it was destroyed by a Covenant warship using an energy projector. This weapon projected a needle-thin beam of charged energy particles from a distance of one hundred thousand kilometers that bisected the ship from bow to stern. It is unknown whether or not there were any survivors. [1]

Trivia
