Tor has a three-book contract deal with Bungie. The first book, Halo: Ghosts of Onyx by Eric Nylund, was released on October 31, 2006. The second book was Halo: Contact Harvest by Joseph Staten, which was released on October 30, 2007. A sixth novel Halo: The Cole Protocol will be released fall 2008 .
