Terra Nova is a colony world of the Unified Earth Government.[1][2] Its name is Latin for "New Earth". The colony was left intact during the Human-Covenant war.
Trivia
Terra Nova is listed as "home of record" in a tongue-and-cheek enlistment document for the UNSC armed forces, received over email after signing on to participate in the Halo 4 Infinity Challenge and the Halo 4 Global Championship.
