Tarkov later attended and passed ODST training sometime in the future and participated in orbital drops. During one such drop he was arm swiped by a Brute, knocking his helmet off and throwing him several feet away. Receiving two wounds, one on his right cheek and one under his lower lip, he fired at the attacking Brute with his pistol, having lost his SMG during the attack. Unfortunately he was unable to stop the Brute and was saved by a crashing Banshee. He was seen several years into the future, with his facial wounds becoming scars. Tarkov helped bury an unknown ODST teammate before hearing an explosion and several plasma weapons from a distance. Tarkov was the first to put his helmet on and went into battle with his remaining team.
