Tanaka Exploration was a construction company in operation on human colony Minab.[1] Owned by the Tanaka family, they maintained at least one underground mine far from the colony's capital city of Kynur. Business ended with the Covenant glassing of Minab in 2550 though eleven survivors, including two Tanakas, held up in one of the mines for a year after the alien occupation had begun.[1]
