Template:Ratings Soma, also known as Soma the Painter, was an individual of an unknown species that resided on Seaward during the Forerunner era. She was one of the first to witness the landfall of the Flood on the planet.[1]
Description
Soma's species is unknown. During the Flood's invasion of Seaward, she was 417 years old. Soma displayed human-like characteristics such as hands, fingers, and a need to sneeze. Unlike humans, however, she had blue-black fur over her eyes.[1]
Though never explicitly stated, it is very likely that Soma was a Forerunner. It is now known that human-like hands and fur of various colors are both Forerunner traits. Also, Forerunners wore body armor equipped with Ancillas, and Soma is described as having worn armor with "omniscient guides" most of her life.
Biography
Soma was an inhabitant of Wharftown, a small settlement on the planet Seaward. She enjoyed painting with a jetbrush.
In approximately 100,300 B.C.E., Soma witnessed the landing of the first Flood invaders while painting the setting of Seaward's two suns.[1]
