Siófok Firing Range

The Siófok Firing Range was a weapons testing facility owned by Ushuaia Armory.[1] It was presumably located on the planet Reach.[Note 1] The facility was responsible for testing the MJOLNIR Powered Assault Armor/AA variant, an improved version of the Orbital Drop Shock Troopers' signature helmet, for the UNSC Army's Airborne division.[1][Note 2]

Siόfok is a city in Hungary near Lake Balaton, the largest lake in Central Europe.

- ^ As many locations on Reach were named after aspects of Hungarian culture, including cities, it is likely that Siόfok Firing Range was located on Reach.
- ^ According to Halo: Reach's Armory, the AA helmet was developed as an improvement of the ODST helmet. According to Halo: The Essential Visual Guide, the former helmet's design was influenced by Ushuaia's extensive work on the Marine Corps BDU, and it is implied that the similarities between the AA and ODST helmets are not due to sharing the same design. Given the context of these apparently conflicting statements, it is possible that the AA helmet was not derived from the ODST helmet per se, but was instead intended to possess similar features and functionality, thus resulting in a similar overall appearance.
