Rimmer was a prisoner held on the UNSC ship Mona Lisa which was secertly a flood testing center. Rimmer was one of the few humans on board who escaped infection and found an elite which he named Henry. It is unknown why he was imprisoned on the Mona Lisa but he repeatdedly states "I didn't do anything big".
