The mirror is a term referring to the time-space connection between the sections of the smart AI Melissa divided by the slipspace anomaly that crashed the UNSC Apocalypso, Durga in the year 2552 and the Operator and the Sleeping Princess in 2004. While both Durga and the Operator were always vaguely aware of the mirror's presence, only the Sleeping Princess and the viral Seeker recognized it for what it really was. The term, coined by the Sleeping Princess, likely originated from the inability of all of them to send a query through it; the query simply was reflected back at them. Despite this, audio clips of Durga's spying filtered in through the mirror, and ultimately the Operator was able to use the mirror to manipulate her into spying on Herzog, and then the Seeker used it to send the clips back to Durga.
