Mayte Michelle Rodriguez is famous for playing tough female roles. Her big break was the movie, Girl Fight which she followed up with such hits as The Fast and the Furious, Resident Evil, and the TV show Lost. Her latest feature film appearance is her role as a Marine combat pilot named Trudy Chacón in the 2009 film Avatar.
She was a voice actor for one of the few female characters of note in Halo. Captain Carol "Foehammer" Rawley, Cortana, and the pilot of Master Chief's escape pod are the only females in the original video game. The second game features two female marines, voiced by Michelle Rodriguez, Laura Prepon.
