The RCS-class armored cruiser is a Covenant capital warship classification.[1]
Background
RCS cruisers are some of the larger classifications of cruisers in the Covenant Navy. Their predominant role revolves around planetary patrol and occupation.
Operational history
Following the Human-Covenant War, Jul 'Mdama's reformed Covenant managed to gather a small number of RCS-class armored cruisers to their naval forces. RCS-class cruisers are most commonly employed as flagships of fleets mostly consisting of CRS-class light cruisers. Several RCS-class cruisers was seen with Jul 'Mdama's fleet occupying Requiem in 2558.[2] One was destroyed when the UNSC Infinity emerged from slipspace and rammed it. Another one was seen fleeing Requiem after 'Mdama set the planet on a collision course with the sun.[3]
