The Mark VIII Cryogenic Suspension Chamber or CSC is the current UNSC-issue cryogenic storage unit. It was manufactured by Jakubaitis Standard Systems. It replaced the Mark VII Personal Suspension Unit.[1] John-117 was frozen in one of these tubes for over 4 years in the UNSC Forward Unto Dawn after the Ark portal collapsed.[2]
