Malta Station

Malta Station is an Orbital Defence Platform, above Earth, similar to Cairo Station. It appears in the Cairo Station (Level). It is in orbit over the small island (and country) of Malta. At one point in the level it can be seen exploding as a result of a Covenant Anti-Matter Bomb. During gameplay, you can listen to radio transmissions between Malta and Cairo. The crew of the Malta believes to have driven off the Covenant, while the enemy is really escaping from the blast radius of the bomb they've placed inside. After it's destruction, a Covenant Carrier flies through Malta's debris field towards Earth, leading many to believe that Malta was destroyed to stop the usage of it's MAC gun so the carrier could get through.
