A stone monument built to pay homage to the conflict.

The Kradal conflicts, sometimes known collectively as the Kradal conflict,[1] were a series of bloody Forerunner civil wars that took place in the galactic center at some point before the human-Forerunner war. Bitterness-of-the-Vanquished commanded Warrior-Servant forces during these conflicts,[2] which saw the loss of countless warriors.[1] The Z-130 Suppressor was first used during the Kradal conflicts.[3] A stone monument was later erected in the memory of the conflicts.[1] The Didact's parents were the leaders of the rebel forces which had started out as a peaceful movement to bring back the rates that the Builders had assimilated, but turned violent when the Builders tried to silence the Didact's father. At the height of the conflict, half of the occupied worlds were on the rebels' side.[4]

Research by the United Nations Space Command has led contemporary human researchers to believe that the gravity wrench may have originated from a time predating the Kradal conflicts.[5]
