The announcer

Template:Ratings Jeff Steitzer is the multiplayer announcer for Halo: Combat Evolved, Halo 2, Halo 3, Halo 3: ODST, and Halo: Reach.

He can be heard during matches announcing everything from "Double Kill!" to "Flag Stolen!" to "Game Over".

His career as an actor began in high school, and he has had a prolific career in theatre, screen, and voiceover work since. He has been in such television shows as "The Fugitive" where he played the recurring role of Art Zimmerman. He has also been in the television series "Law & Order" and the video game Alien vs Predator 2 and Close Combat III: Russian Front. He has worked on several occasions with fellow voice actor Todd Licea.

According to this, he auditioned and was told he would play Master Chief, but was given the role of the multiplayer announcer.

He recently ended his run in the Broadway production of "Mary Poppins," in which he played Admiral Boom and the Bank Chairman.
