Known by many as "The Bishop," Avu Med 'Telcam was the leader of the Servants of the Abiding Truth, a fanatical cult which follows the Sangheili's pre-Covenant beliefs. 'Telcam rose to prominence in the aftermath of the Human-Covenant War, partially due to the intervention of an ONI black ops unit called Kilo-Five, who helped arm his faction to prolong the Sangheili civil war. By 2558, he had outlived his usefulness to ONI and was ultimately assassinated by a Spartan-III. Although the Bishop is no more, the Servants of the Abiding Truth live on under the leadership of Dural 'Mdama, 'Telcam's protégé and son of the infamous Jul 'Mdama.
