The SFX seem to be good so far, but there's noticeable drop in quality in other places. The acting ranges from pretty good to pretty bad. Felicity's actress is the best, but Gage is particularly stiff, even when he's supposed to be dying. All the others don't seem spectacular. Also, the film tends to drop us randomly in places without explaining where we are or how we got here. For example, the recruitment center isn't established to be away from Gage's home, making it feel like he walked to it right next door to it when he left his dad. The training mission is also never established to be a training mission at first either. Initially, I thought it was their first combat mission, then got confused when their Sergeant suddenly appeared and explained the exercise. It's also never explained how Gage outsmarted the ODST. And lastly, the film cuts a lot out from the short story. The bombing at the bar that inspires Gage to join the ODSTs is deleted, and Sarge has him sign up from them while he's still in boot camp. The initial awe at first contact before the Covenant is explained to be hostile is cut out, as is any hints of Felicity's orientation. I would say "good for a fan film", but fan films can do much better than this. ''Helljumper'' isn't especially bad, but it falls very short of what it could do. Halo: Helljumper
The acting was pretty good, I must say. There were a few parts where I could not hear what they were saying. I'd give it a 7 out of 10 when rating it from 1=lowest, 10=highest.--Spartacus TalkContribs

Helljumper isn't especially bad, but it falls very short of what it could do.
