Eden (place)

Eden is the name of a garden the Librarian made on Earth not far from the Portal to the Ark. It is mentioned in some of the Terminals found in Halo 3. Librarian says the Earth is very rich naturally, this is because the climate in the Ark is very extreme (on the level the Ark you fight in a desert and in the level Covenant you fight in a very cold climate. This is also an example of why the forerunners loved nature and believed in the mantle. This also may be one of the reasons of why they built the Portal. [1]
Trivia
- The "Garden of Eden" is a reference to the place of the same name in the Genesis section of the Bible. There, life was created. This eludes to the idea that the Forerunners created Humanity, having the Librarian starting the Human race.
- This is another example of Bungie's fascination with the Bible.
