A type of early Covenant corvette was used by the Covenant c. 850 BCE. These slipspace-capable ships were based on an obscure collection of Forerunner designs but also resembled in part a Sangheili slitherer after it had swallowed a hopping slug alive. A number of these vessels traveled to the Refuge and participated in the battle that would come to be known as the Rending
