The Commando Unit was a special operations formation of the Covenant military, subordinate to the Special Warfare Group. It was absorbed into the Arbiter's breakaway faction following the outbreak of the Great Schism. The Commando Unit's Sangheili operatives were equipped with the Commando harness, a lighter and sturdier counterpart to the standard-issue combat harness.[1]
