This article refers to the UNSC Navy rank of Captain. For the Marine Corps rank, see Captain (Marine Corps).
Captain is a commissioned officer rank of the UNSC Navy, equal with the rank of Colonel in the UNSC Marine Corps.
Captains typically command a single ship, but may also command a battlegroup or a small fleet if they are the most senior officer present.
Captains are sometimes informally referred to as "Skipper" (heard in Pillar of Autumn (Level)).
