Andrew Thivyanathan was a human de-glasser on Meridian in 2558. He discovered an unusual metal near Apogee Station that turned out to be a Guardian at rest and tried to open it. Matt Riley later informed him of Governor Sloan's anticipation of reaching the Guardian and the Governor's belief that Liang Dortmund would possibly offer them a bonus if something good was found.[1]

Production notes

Andrew Thivyanathan is based on a person who won a visit to 343i's studio in December 2013 from Child's Play charity. In October 2014 the visit happened, leading to the two people who went becoming characters in the Halo 5 Mission Intel.

Trivia

Given his surname, it is possible that his family roots originated from India.
