The 2nd Armored Division was an armored warfare formation of the UNSC Army that served during the Human-Covenant War. [1][Note 1] First activated during the Second World War by the United States Army, the "Hell on Wheels" division later served in the Vietnam War and in the Persian Gulf War, and presumably later under the banner of the Unified Earth Government during the Fall of Reach.
Notes
- ^ The division's insignia is seen in a concept art piece for Halo: Reach. Therefore, this article assumes that the 2nd Armored Division is descended from the US Army unit of the same name.
